We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join the SysAdmin team. This role involves infrastructure development and automation, not just operational support. Responsibilities cover the edge layer (Cloudflare), network and server infrastructure, domain zone, abuse processes, as well as mentoring middle/junior engineers. You will work closely with the Tech Lead and Team Lead, directly participating in architectural decision‑making.
- Confident Linux administration (systemd, networking, troubleshooting), Nginx (reverse proxy, load balancing, SSL/TLS, tuning)
- Deep understanding of DNS: hierarchy, delegation, caching, resource records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, SRV, CAA, NS, SOA, PTR), administration of authoritative DNS servers
- Experience with domain registrars and registries, understanding of TLD policies and domain lifecycle (registration → renewal → redemption → drop)
- Advanced Cloudflare user: DNS, SSL, caching, Page/Configuration/Transform Rules, WAF (managed and custom rulesets), Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare API for bulk operations
- Understanding of L4/L7 proxies: differences, use cases, debugging
- Proxmox: installation, migrations, backups, clustering, troubleshooting
- VPN: WireGuard / OpenVPN / IPsec
- Hardening Linux servers, managing SSH access and secrets, key rotation
- Understanding DMCA/abuse processes: incident types, complaint formats, SLA, interaction with registrars and providers
- AWS: basic services (EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, VPC, CloudWatch)
- Google Workspace: administration, policies, integrations
- Observability: Grafana (dashboards, alerting), Zabbix and/or Prometheus (metrics collection, templates, alert routing)
- Practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Python and Bash at production‑grade scripting level
- Jira administration: projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, reports
- Fluent Russian and/or Ukrainian; technical English (documentation reading, correspondence)
- Operation and development of network and server infrastructure (Linux, Nginx, proxies, VPN, Proxmox)
- Management of DNS and domain infrastructure: registrars, registries, TLDs, domain lifecycle, local DNS
- Development of edge layer: Cloudflare (WAF, Workers, Rules, API), L4/L7 proxies
- Infrastructure hardening, access and secret management (vault/secret management, rotation, rights limitation)
- Handling abuse/451 incidents: automation of routine operations, SOP development
- Observability: dashboards, alerts, SLO setup in Grafana, Zabbix, Prometheus
- Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
- Automation of routine operations with Python and Bash
- Operation of cloud services (AWS, Google Workspace)
- Task management in Jira, maintaining technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs
- Mentoring middle/junior engineers, peer‑reviewing configurations, implementing best practices in the team
